March Meeting Minutes

Where: Asian Buffet in North Augusta
When: March 4, 2010

Treasurer’s Report: $1,117.07

LAST MONTH:

  1. A bunch went on a trip to the Abbeville Opera House to see “Forever Plaid.” By all accounts a good time was had by all.
  2. The trip to Carolina Motor Sports park to watch John Haff and Kurt Breitinger race was called on account of the crappy weather.
  3. The monthly breakfast was a BYOB (Bring Your Own Breakfast) affair at the House of Bogardi.
  4. The Anniversary Dinner was another fabulous fete put together by Schumacher Events®

THIS MONTH:

  1. A meeting at the Asian Buffet in North Augusta that is happening right now.
  2. Tech Day coordinated by Kurt Breitinger on Saturday, March 20.
  3. Breakfast will be the following Saturday (27th) at the North Augusta Optimist’s Club Annual Pancake Breakfast.

NEXT MONTH:

  1. On the first Thursday the meeting will be at Acropolis in Aiken.
  2. Breakfast will be on the 17th coordinated by the Schumachers.

February Meeting Minutes

Where: Veracruz Mexican Restaurant #2 in Augusta, GA
When: February 4, 2010
Who: Thousands of Miata Enthusiasts.

Treasurer’s Report: $1267.07.

LAST MONTH:

  1. January 7 Planning Meeting at E.J.’s. The owner of the restaurant recently passed away and we’re hoping a family member takes over so we can continue holding our planning meeting there. A plethora of events were planned, and the planning meeting will be considered a big success if everyone follows through.
  2. January 16 Breakfast Attending were Donna and Brian Bogardus, Rudy and Patti Wilmoth, David Winkler (host), John and Jackie Nicholls, John and Carol Haff, David and Autumn Schumacher, Larry and Rita Garner. Good food, good company at the Washington Road Sunrise Grill.
  3. January 16 Bowling coordinated by John Nicholls. Participants were Garners, Bogardi, Haffs, Wilmoths, David Schumacher, John Nicholls, and Bill Baugh. We lost some breakfasters but picked up some nonbreakfasters, so it worked out fine. PBA has nothing to worry about from the MMC, and Wii bowling is NOT practice for the real thing.

THIS MONTH:

  1. February 6 Twelve Miata Enthusiasts will be making the trip to the Abbeville Opera House for “Forever Plaid” Arrive, eat, drive, eat, spectate, drive, eat, drive.
  2. February 13 Carolina Motor Sports to watch John Haff and Kurt Breitinger race. Coordinator: Rudy Wilmoth promises to get details onto the website if his password works.
  3. February 20 MMC Breakfast to be coordinated by the Bogardi. Watch the Website for details.
  4. February 27 Anniversary Dinner coordinated by David Schumacher. It looks like the club will be able to contribute $200 + towards the total bill. Watch the website for details.

  1. March 4 Meeting at the Asian Buffet in North Augusta
  2. March 20 Tech Day coordinated by Kurt Breitinger
  3. March 20 Breakfast coordinated by the Nicholls…watch the website inasmuch as the date may change.

My Recollection:

  1. Some of the members went somewhere in Georgia and saw some Christmas lights. There might have been a hayride involved.
  2. The December breakfast was was to be next weekend at the Broad Street Market and it was being arranged by the Wilmoths. So far 4 couples were attending.
  3. I had too much eggnog by this point and have no idea what this means. Which dinner? This one? The Anniversary Dinner? Which Dave? I could eat…

November Meeting Minutes

Where: Robolli’s in Augusta, GA
When: November 5, 2009
Who: Bill & Bonnie Baugh, Brian Bogardus, Kurt, Karen & James Breitinger, Gail & Miller Butler, John & Carol Haff, John & Jackie Nicholls, Dave & Autumn Schumacher and Patti & Rudy Wilmoth.

Treasurer’s Report: $1,353.98.

October:

  1. The Train Trip to Winnsboro, SC was well attended. The actual train ride, while short was fun and exciting (note to self, don’t wear black when taking steam train ride.) The food at both ends of the event was pretty darn good too.

November:

  1. Dave Winkler still doesn’t know he is in charge of setting up November’s breakfast for the 21st and he wasn’t at tonight’s meeting to tell him. The president allows that a swift kick in the head may be required.

December:

  1. The Club’s year-end Holiday Blow Out will be on Saturday the 12th at the Schumacher manse. Bring a nosh and a gift for the always exciting swaperoo.

October Meeting Minutes

Where: Mi Rancho in Aiken
When: October 3, 2009
Who: Bill & Bonnie Baugh, Brian Bogardus, Gail & Miller Butler, John & Jackie Nicholls and Patti & Rudy Wilmoth.

Treasurer’s Report: $1,303.98.

September:

  1. Last month’s meeting was at Ryan’s and a bunch of us over ate, just as the designers of the MegaBar intended.
  2. Septeber’s breakfast was a Arri’s Grill in Aiken and if ever a place deserved the term “hole in the wall” this is it.

October:

  1. On the weekend of October 10 & 11 Kurt will need a pit crew person to help him at Roebling Road Raceway. If you are interested let him know soon. For your services Kurt will pay for your hotel room.
  2. Saturday the 17th is the Train Trip to Winnsboro, SC. Before the drive the mothly breakfast event will be at Manuel’s Bakery and Cafe in North Augusta, SC. As if that wasn’t enough excitment already, a lunch is planned for afterwards at Rebecca’s of Ridgeway in, you guessed it, nearby Ridgeway, SC.

November:

  1. The monthly meeting will be on the 5th at Robolli’s Italian Bar & Grill in Augusta, GA.
  2. If Dave Winkler didn’t know he was in charge of setting up November’s breakfast, he will be soon.
