March Meeting Minutes

Where: Emishiya Korean BBQ, Martinez

Who: Brian and Donna Bogardus, David and Ellie Brock, Mike and Shirley Dyer, Larry Garner, Glen and Deb Link, Dennis and Karol Mason.

Where: Emashiya Korean BBQ was different but good, we had our own room and enjoyed dinner and appetizers. Everyone found something on the menu that they liked. Shirley particularly enjoyed the Fried Rice and Karol and Dennis enjoyed the Goon Man Du and Bulgogi and rice.

Treasurer’s Report: The balance started at $951.91 from last month, and added $10 in dues to end at $961.91.

Club Business:
• Dues for this year are past due!, So please prepare to contribute at the next meeting,
and see Mike Dyer to pay them. Thank you for your support!
• Please remember to RSVP to our events – it makes it difficult for the planner if we don’t
know how many will show – especially for smaller venues. Your RSVP is greatly appreciated, so please don’t forget.

January Meeting Minutes

When: January 3rd, 2019

Where: Tin Lizzy’s, Wahington Rd., Augusta

Who: Brian and Donna Bogardus, Mike and Shirley Dyer, Larry Garner, Thomas and Jennie Hodges, and Dennis and Karol Mason.

Thanks to Dennis for making reservations for tonight’s meeting! – It was hard to make a decision from the menu but once done the food was good!  The Chicken Tortilla Soup was yummy. The members enjoyed chatting and eating before the meeting started. 

Treasurer’s Report: The balance started at $939.95, with income of $510.00, and expenses of $558.04, the ending balance is $891.91.

Club Business:

  • Our new president opened the meeting after dinner. He wanted everyone to know that the third Saturday meeting can be anything you would like, not necessarily breakfast.  Also, if you have anything in mind you would like to plan/do, be it a short drive, a breakfast, a lunch, dinner, something new in town you’d like to see, whatever –  please mention it, we would love to hear your ideas.
  • Dues for the upcoming year are now due!, So please prepare to contribute at the next meeting, and see Mike Dyer to pay them. Thank you for your support!
  • Mike Dyer will send an updated roster of all paid up members to Brian and Dennis.

Thanks to David and Ellie for making reservations for tonight’s meeting! – I enjoyed the view from the loft. The food was good and filling! A little noisy from the kitchen sounds but enjoyable none the less. Members enjoyed chatting, socializing and eating before the meeting started.

Treasurer’s Report: The balance started at $939.95, no transactions this month, so the ending balance is the same.

• Larry Garner has planned a breakfast on 17 November at 9 am at Red Oak Manor in Harlem
(410 North Louisville Street) then a short drive to ‘Feathered Friends Forever’ a Bird Sanctuary (612 Byrd Rd) for their 19th Annual Open House. They have 1400 birds of many types and ages. We will arrive at the bird sanctuary at 11am (when they open) if you want to meet us at the Bird Sanctuary. But please RSVP (on the website) for breakfast, so Larry can give a count to Red Oak Manor.

• Our Christmas Party will be on December 15th this year at the same location (thank you
Patty!), Brookstone Clubhouse (1250 Brookstone Way, Augusta). We will be having the same caterer and same meal (Ham, Turkey, mashed potatoes w/gravy, green beans, garden salad, rolls, pound cake, banana pudding, tea & water) but this year there will be a $10 charge per person. This will keep the club funds in good shape, and it’s a pretty good price for an evening of fun and fellowship. And don’t forget your White Elephant gift for the fun gift exchange/steal. Each person that wants to participate, please bring a wrapped gift valued at $20 or less. Also, BYOB if you wish to drink.

Thanks to Dennis for making plans for tonight’s meeting. Sorry we didn’t get the back room we’ve had before – it was being used for a birthday party of a long time customer. But they set us up at a large table in the back (after some jockeying). Members enjoyed chatting and socializing before the meeting started. The food as usual was very good.

Treasurer’s Report: Our treasurer was not present but Mike sent his report – The balance started at $989.95, paid out $50 to reserve the clubhouse for the Christmas party, to end with a balance of $939.95.

Club Business:
