Schedule for our events to come:
The breakfast for the 21 st is CNX
The Walter Mitty is on for the 28-29 and should be great since Mazda is the sponsor. Details will be on the web site as they develop. As of now the departure will be from the Cracker Barrel.

The meeting in May will be at the Sno-Cap, NEW TIME 7:00 PM ESDT.

Looking into activities in May
A canoe trip May 12 will be sponsored by Dave Schumacher. Join up will be at 9AM at Aiken State Parle No white water is scheduled. This should cost about $10 to $12 per person, last about 2 hours and be a leisurely float/paddle down stream.

On the 19th of May we will meet Dave again for breakfast somewhere near Elmcroft. After breakfast we will take residents of the nursing home for a ride in the country.

BMW Ultimate Drive II

We had a good time driving around Martinez for a good cause the other day. Brian and I drove 9 different cars for a total of 125 miles. After our first lap in a Z4 Coupe, who should pull in but John & Jackie. They were driving the new 3 Series Hardtop Convertible, which we that finagled our way in for a lap. Later in the afternoon we ran into Stacey who was there driving a bunch of cars too (there is no picture of him, as by the time we saw him the camera battery was dead.)

A Day At The Track

Where: Road Atlanta

When: Saturday, March 17th, following the MMC breakfast.

Event Coordinator: Carol Haff 706-868-5795

For anyone who is available on Saturday, John is going to be racing at Road Atlanta. He is going to be running Time Trials with the NASA folks. There are somewhere in the neighborhood of 300 who have signed up for the weekend event, and they will be running high performance driving events, time trials and road races. You will see all different kinds of cars, with many Miatas, corvettes, mustangs, even a Ferrari, and everything in between. John is scheduled to run at 10:30, 1:30 and 4:10, with 20-minute sessions each. We invite you to come down and do some spectating and walking around. Weather permitting, Rudy & and Patti are driving down after the club breakfast, and they have graciously agreed to lead if anyone wants to follow. Please note they are charging a $10/person admission fee to get in the gate for all spectators. We would love to see you there!
