    Great ideas listed here!

I was thinking the same. Where’s Beaufort Drive-in? Is it still in business?

  • From the calendar in the June newsletter:

We are going to drive to Beaufort, SC with lunch at Ollie’s (on Lady’s Island) to be followed by sightseeing in historic downtown. Later we will go to the other drive-in in SC, the Hwy 21 Drive In, with some folks from the Low Country Miata Club for a movie or two. We are staying overnight at the Howard Johnson Express Inn. Make your reservations by phone at 843-524-6020. Bring your folding chairs, bug spray and some snacks. Maybe a boom box to conserve your car battery.

Is the Jockey Lot still open?

  • Both places seem to be still in operation. The drive-in for sure as their website is nice and new and up to date: Hwy 21 Drive In The Jockey Lot has a web page Jockey Lot with a news scroll holding info that is from 2 to 8 years old…but I’m betting it is still going strong.
