T-Shirt Tuesday

Spin Cycle

So you’re standing at the washing machine staring at your favorite shirt and looking at the care label. You see nothing but a bunch of little icons. To you they make more sense as advice for a good day at the track than in the laundry room. But that’s ok. If you wanted it done right, you’d ask your mom.

The shirt color is called Tire Smoke White and I’m betting I would get it stained the first time I wore it.

Ausie, Ausie, Ausie

Welcome to Tubing Thursdays with an edition from down under. I just love the way they (along with my English manager) pronounce Mazda. But what I really love is they can get BBS wheels and Recaro seats right from the dealer all rolled into your car note. No more explaining to your significant other that you need to spend another couple thousand to replace the perfectly round wheels your new car came with.

And just how many newtons per kilo are in a foot pound anyway?

T-Shirt Tuesday

2 Liter Rocket

The last time you got this much of a buzz from 2 liters was drinking all that grape soda at your 4th birthday party. Now you gulp down acceleration runs from your personal rocket ship. If your friends want a lift, tell them to bring their own cups for a taste of your awesome.

I guess if you drove an NC this T-shirt might be appropriate for you.

10 Years Ago – June 2003

Blue Sky Magazine

Date: Sunday, June 8, 2003
Time: 5:00 PM
Place: Lookaway Hall, North Augusta
Members Attending: Brian & Donna Bogardus, Jim & Judy Creer, Carol & John Haff, Chris & Ron Kaufman, Kathleen Kennedy, Jackie & John Nicholls, Marty Rutkowski & John Strelec Jr. (brother-in-law), Cindy & Stacey Timmerman, Rudy Wilmoth, Dave Winkler and Anita Wylds.
Guests Attending: Eberhard & Klaudia Homann.

We had a baker’s dozen cars parked in the parking area in front of Lookaway Hall. Twelve Miatas, everything from Kathleen & Anita’s nearly stock to Jim & Marty’s hyper modified, and one Chevy Malibu. The Malibu was the rental car of the husband and wife team of freelance writers from the German Miata Magazine, Blue Sky. Eberhard & Klaudia had hoped to give us some samples of the current issue, but the ones they brought with them were still in their missing luggage.

After much talking and picture taking we all headed over to The Pizza Joint in Augusta for some dinner.

Editors Note: Several weeks after the event we did get a couple of back issues of the magazine and they looked awesome, but we never did get any copies of the magazine that we were supposed to be in. It folded not long after our photo shoot and chat with the reporters.
