TSD Rally

Brian and Donna Drive The RouteThis is the GPS track from our running of the rally. The GPS told us that we went 70.8 miles in 2 hours, 7 minutes and 56 seconds for an average speed of 33 MPH. I don’t remember what the actual figures were supposed to be, but you can bet these numbers are way off because we finished tied for fifth in a six car contest.

Here is a larger and clearer image – Rally Route Taken – you can right click and save to your PC if you want to.

Here are the few photos I took at the Rally finish, which seemed to be in the middle of nowhere, both figuratively an literally, but the food was good and there was a steady lunch crowd the whole tim we were there.

Past Events :

  1. March’s meeting at the Asian Buffet attracted the usual crowd and the food was better than remembered from the last visit.
  2. March’s breakfast at the Hard Hard Cafe in Graniteville was just what the MMC’s Director of Morning Repasts had in mind, respectable chow washed down with good coffee from a free flowing pot served by a waitress who calls everyone Hon’.

Future Events:

  1. April Breakfast (4/18) will be hosted by Dave Winkler at the Sunrise Grill in Augusta, GA and hopefully the food there is on par with the one in North Augusta, SC.
  2. A group is heading up to the Abbeville Opera House on April 25th to see a show. The lunch spot was still being worked out.
  3. Hilarity will ensue when the Nicholls’ unleash their yearly TSD Rally on May 2nd.
  4. The location for breakfast in May is being cooked up (pun intended) by Rudy & Patti.
  5. The Schumachers will be representing the Club at the 20th Anniversary national gathering in Dallas over Memorial Day weekend. Miata World II, like the first one 10 years ago, will be giving away a brand new Miata to one of the registrants, wish them luck.
