Bug Splat

Place: Zaxby’s, located at 612 Ronald Reagan Dr in Evans, GA, right across the street from the Post Office – map

After eating we will take a drive around the lake and across the dam hopefully knocking insects out of the night air with the noses of our Miatas. At the finish at the Dairy Queen on Washington Rd in Martinez your Event Coordinator will give away awards in various categories, including: Biggest Bug, Most Bugs, etc.

Pool Party

Place: 10 Woodspring Court – map

The Butler’s live at #10, but I had to plug in #60 in Google Maps to get it to line up with their home.

This year there will be an early start so we can have some of Miller’s famous pancakes for brunch. And if that wasn’t enough there will be a hot dog with all the trimmings feast to replace the calories burned floating, swimming, lounging, or whatever, between brunch and mid afternoon. Please bring a dessert or something that’ll compliment the above mentioned meals.

Please RSVP to the hosts (using the contact info below) by Wednesday, July 8th, so they will know how much food to order and to make sure we don’t double up on desserts, etc..

February Miata’s For Breakfast

Location: Lake View Restaurant

Millen Hwy. aka S. Liberty St. aka GA Hwy 24S
Waynesboro, GA

Just south of historic Waynesboro (Bulldog Capital of the World) is a small lake with cottages along the shore.  There sits the Lake View Restaurant, open for breakfast at 6 a.m.  Lucky for us, we’re shooting for an 8:30 chow time.  So, we’ll rendevous by 7:45 a.m. in the Lowe’s parking lot at Peach Orchard Rd. and the Bobby Jones (adjacent to where our last monthly meeting was held.)  We’ll depart promptly at 7:55 a.m. for a leisurely 30-minute drive to Waynesboro down US-25.
Since we’re a car club, join us for a short and scenic after-breakfast drive for about another 40 minutes as we loop back to Augusta.
