Railroad Museum and Train Ride

Where: South Carolina Railroad Museum at 110 Industrial Park Road in Winnsboro, SC 29180.

Eat, drive, drive, eat, drive event with a train ride in between! Following breakfast at Manuel’s Bakery and Cafe in North Augusta we’ll drive to the South Carolina Railroad Museum in Winnsboro (North of Columbia) , where we will board a train pulled by No. 75 coal-fired steam engine for an hour excursion going nowhere in particular. This is only offered on two weekends in October in conjunction with “Steam Train Days” so tickets will go quickly! Afterwards we’ll board our gas-powered buggies for a drive to Newberry for lunch at one of the many fine places–suggestions welcome, then a meandering drive home.

Tickets for the Ride are $15.00 @ and must be purchased in advance. The Nicholls will order tickets for anyone who can confirm, guarantee their participation no later than Sunday, August 16–check goes in the mail, Monday the 17th!

Saturday Breakfast at Manuel’s Bakery and Cafe

Where: Manuel’s Bakery and Cafe at 505 Railroad Avenue in beautiful North Augusta SC, 29841.

Join your fellow Miata enthusiasts for some coffee, a bit of gossip, more coffee, a morning meal, and maybe one more refill of coffee. We convinced Manuel’s management to open early just for us, so we can be on the road promptly at 8:30. Breakfast will be followed by the trip to the Railroad Museum and Train Ride. Be sure to read that event description for details on reservations and more. Y’all should feel free to come to either or both. Read all about Manuel’s at manuelsbreadcafe.com.
